The Barge Canal
Oh come along a-Momma,
up the Barge canal with me.
We’ll drive there in my metal boat, don’t have to stop to pee.
We got a tank all full of gas
and got the oil for free,
from my old friend Charlie, didn’t need it for his Harley.
If we don’t shear a pin well then we must be drivin’ slow.
Half the fun with this Johnson is seein’ how fast she’ll go.
Later in the evening we’ll be zippin to and fro,
Just push in the choke, ‘cause there’s too much smoke…
We’ll shoot some snakes.
We’ll burn some steaks.
We’ll swim in some cold, cold lakes.
In the mornin’ we’ll be yawnin’ heat the coffee, I’ll have corn ‘n’ peas.
Under sinkhole trees.
Oh baby oh my sweetie mine, no one knows we’re here.
We called the phone behind the store and stole ourselves some beer.
This side canal is narrow and its kinda hard to steer.
Who cares?
‘Cause it’s night…and I just
dropped the light (oh shit)…
We’ll drop our clothes,
Can’t swim in those
Jesus shit we froze
As the Cub scouts out of nowhere hunt for frogs but find us laughin’ there.
Floating moon so bare.
So come on, pretty baby, up the Barge canal with me.
Palmetto bugs the size of mice, and that’s not all we’ll see.
Those are alligator eyes, and that’s a manatee,
Light the PIC if you please, for the mosquitoes and fleas…
So come on pretty baby up the Barge canal with me.
